I do think the whole electric grid will need to come down at some point as it is toxic to life. But I would like to see this happen as gently as possible. People like myself have depended for several years on the internet to do our work and for communication with family, friends and clients around the world. I don't own or use a cell phone so my computer has been my source of communication and, of course, the internet is how I am able to communicate with the others. This would be a major big deal to lose the ability to communicate entirely. But I do think you are right. We will need to let go of the internet at some point and start reclaiming our power to communicate with anybody, anywhere through telepathy.

With the coordinated work of a few in the armed forces, the grid could be shut down, I would guess (think HAARP workers). Ships with portable arrays would also need to be taken out of service. I suppose it needs to be a worldwide event to some degree, a simultaneous shut down of electricity grids. Just that action will kill a lot of innocent people, of course, but in the long run this population culling is doing the same thing.

The truth is that the U.S. is broke. They have invested so much into this AI that they are spending way faster than they can print money out of thin air.
